The Red Bag vs. The Blue Bag
This soft nougat wasn’t on the shelf when I bought the jawbreaker variety in the similarly-designed red bag featured in The Maple Report #3.
The nougat in this blue bag is soft and chewy—tendre, as the label says, pas croquante—and, since I wasn’t in fear of breaking my crowns off, I enjoyed it. It’s equally almond-y as maple-y, a satisfying flavor and low-calorie as candies go.
Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Maple is. You have to eat it for yourself. This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the soft blue bag and the story ends. You wake up in your bed with all your teeth and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the hard red bag and you stay in Nougat-land and I show you how deep the root-canal hole goes.
Ratings
maple-y, pretty good, especially since this soft kind poses little dental danger.
