It has never been easier.
Just stop by the cake vending machine in the Metro and grab yourself a slice. Vanilla sprinkle cake for birthdays, triple chocolate cake, red velvet, and lots of rainbow cake for Pride!

They have these in L.A. but I’ve never seen one, because of course you’d have to drive to it (which seems silly). Having a cake machine in the subway makes cake more accessible, and I’m down with that.
It’s not inexpensive–$8-10Canadian, but it’s a pretty big slice of cake. Plus, you don’t have to buy a whole cake for those times when you just want one piece for yourself. More plus, it’s fun for people who like to press buttons and watch machines work.
I don’t know if cake from Hoboken, NJ is superior, or if the reason this machine seems fully stocked is because it was just refilled or no one buys machine cake, but 10/10 for design, implementation, and location.
