Arrival

We took a really big airplane to get to Montréal from Los Angeles.

I mean, just look at it!

The flight was largely uneventful and somewhat less grueling than past flights. Wearing our super-duty P100 elastomeric masks gets us some strange looks (and isn’t especially comfortable), but makes us feel better about being in close proximity to so many people for so long.

Tonight we’re staying at the Intercontinental Hotel downtown, where we splurged and had a room-service dinner. After getting up at 4:30AM, a long flight, juggling all the baggage, dealing with security and customs and taxis … one Beyond-Meat burger and an order of poutine with smoked meats never tasted so good!

Tomorrow we go to our new apartment in Rosemont-La Petite Patrie and start getting settled in. As that happens, we’ll keep you apprised here, so don’t touch that dial!

Bien sur nous avons fatiguee!

I’m not even going to look up if that’s right. 4.5 years of French classes, high school and college, and je ne rien pas. Same for that one.

Rest up. Glad for the uneventful flight.

With an airplane like that you must have arrived in Montreal before all the businesses opened. What did you all day??
