Things aren’t always as simple as you’d hope. Switching internet providers at the new apartment went smoothly … until the courier wasn’t able to get in the outer security door to deliver the modem on Tuesday. Instead of calling, they just turned around and left. The next delivery attempt was today, Thursday. This would all be fine if the original internet connection hadn’t turned off at just after midnight on Tuesday.
Being new in town, we have a lot of things to look up: maps, information, official paperwork. Not to mention email. Doing web development without an internet connection is not impossible, but it’s not easy either.
The modem arrived today, so there has been a lot of network activity as we caught up.
In the mean time, Spring has been happening here. It’s been a week of mixed rain and sunshine, with temperatures ranging from quite crisp to pleasantly cool to warm. Trees are budding out, and tulips and doffodils and other flowers are blooming.
